We are thrilled to be sharing the Tigrinya version of “Gendered Frontlines: Feminist Readings of Militarization in Sudan, South Sudan, and Eritrea,” making this research more accessible to Tigrinya-speaking audiences and communities directly affected and shaped by militarization, displacement, and indefinite national service. From Eritrean women who fought in liberation struggles yet continue to live without basic civic freedoms, to generations navigating militarized education, migration, and restricted public life, the report reflects on how militarization continues to shape everyday existence across the region.
